I ask because like certain warrior and magic classes that don't need either MP or TP, it seems that the Fisher, unlike the other 2 DOL classes doesn't need accessories that grant extra GP.

Yes FSH needs accessories if you want to hit certain levels of Gathering/Perception. You won't get any use out of the actual GP itself from accessories, but the melds you can put into those accessories are quite crucial especially for big fishing, etc.
You can put i70 acc like gryphonskin / rose gold to meld it with gathering and perception. Unlike the dodore's acc, this acc gives more gathering and perception amount in meld (5 each) while dodore's acc only gives 4 each.
