PvP and the 30 minute penalty after 3 strikes

Due to reasons beyond our control at times (people going afk for a short period of time, controllers not working), sometimes we are unable to get in with an 8 man premade after possibly an hour of waiting and end up with 1 or 2 strikes of the 30 minute penalty before even getting into a match!

Is there a chance for an auto accept to be added to PvP? Or to make it so that PvP premades let anyone who clicks can go in? The fact that everyone else is punished for someone not being at their computer or console is not fair and should be looked over.

It would also be a nice solution to have the penalty completely removed from PvP queues so that even if someone doesn't click, we don't have to wait that ADDITIONAL 30 minutes. Please do something about this, as it has caused a bit of friction lately in the last few days... almost every day for the last week or so. :(

As it is now, I propose that the PvP queue system changes so that either:

A) All those who are able to accept the queue when it pops get into the match, and everyone who was not available are left out and get one strike to their penalty for the day (NO PENALTY FOR THOSE WHO CLICKED)

B) Allow us to auto accept PvP queues ahead of time so that we do not have to click

or

C) Remove the 3 strike rule entirely for PvP queuing

I hope that you can consider these changes in future updates because they would improve our quality of life for those of us who do decide to queue in groups.

It should for sure work by bringing everyone who clicked the button in. Any other way you're not only punishing the other people on the team who queued, but also the rest of the team in the match who is now down 8 people. I've had this situation happen a LOT and even with a full group of 8 where we know each other in real life and spam text messages and call and stuff, this often ended up happening, and that was back when queues were 10-15 mins.

With longer queues, this issue is just exacerbated. I think the idea of a 3 strike rule should stay, otherwise groups may try to just get matches with other pre-mades (although again more relevant when queues were shorter), but the entire team shouldn't be punished because one person chose to get a glass of water at the wrong time.

Yeah, last time I missed a queue which I RARELY DO...

I went to go pour a drink for about 50 seconds and the queue popped as soon as I was in the kitchen. I got back with 2 seconds left and I was a bit shocked that it popped so I couldn't click fast enough. X_X

Agree with what Blubbers said, option A is the only way to go. It sucks commencing to find your team is several members short, so for that reason, having partial commencement benefits the people outside the party who commenced, and the people inside the party who commenced. The 3 withdrawal lockout has its place, I think I've only been hit with this one time since it came out, if ever.

I've gotten penalty about 6 times since it was instated due to being in PvP groups where people AFKed. I've only ever been the one to not click... twice? :( Usually the first strike though.

The dumb part about it is that...

If you get penalty for not clicking for PvE instances, PvP can still be queued for.

If you get penalty from PvP instances, it locks you out from PvP AND PvE. :(

Yeah, gonna have to agree. If queue times were shorter this wouldnt be an issue, but you cant blame someone if they're waiting 30min-2hrs and afk.

Another solution would be to make the Duty Ready wait time a little bit longer for PvP queues. Because I always get back with like 3 seconds left and by then I'm like panicking.

I tried an 8-man premade for Frontlines once... Fooled me twice even but that was the last strike I got from them.

It would be nice to ahve specific queue rules for pvp, but for complexity and maintenance reasons i doubt SE will implement different queue systems just for a few instances.
