Mouse Cursor Will Now Disappear

Sometimes while I'm playing my mouse cursor will not display properly for a time. This only started happening a couple of days ago. It's not terribly frequent and it doesn't last but about 5-10 minutes, but when it does it becomes very difficult to play. I have no idea what causes it to go away or come back.

The game continues to function properly when I use the mouse as if the cursor was present, I just can't see where it is. I have to move the mouse outside and use that as a reference point to try to click in the proper place, certainly no way to play normally.
