Choosing servers
Hi,
I'm a new player and I'm wondering what's the right server for me. I couldn't decide between Gilgamesh, Balmung or Hyperion so I made the same character on each server to see how things work. My question is: Is there any notorious difference between those three servers in therms of behavior, casual/end game content and market?
I like both casual and mid-core play (sometimes hardcore) and I also like to know new people. I'm not a RPer, but RPers never bothered me anyway. But for my first impression Balmung seems to be RP-heavy. I'm only lvl 7 so start over will not be an issue. That's why I'm asking for help before I reach level cap and figure that server X is not the right server for me.
Would I be able to enjoy Balmung if I'm not a RPer?
Would I be able to enjoy Gilga if I'm not too hardcore?
Would I be able to enjoy Hyperion if I'm not a veteran (legacy) player?
Thank you all in advance. :D
Ps. I've heard that Adamantoise is also a good place to be, but my researches (google, reddit, forums, lodestone) failed to show me why.

I have never RPed on Balmung, but I enjoy it a lot. It's a very lively server and I've made a lot of awesome friends (across all skill levels) on it.
While I can't compare each server in depth... I think you'd be able to enjoy any of them. They all have their stereotypes, but that's never the only thing going on. There are plenty of groups clearing T13 on Balmung, for example.
The downside to very high pop servers... forget about being able to ever have a house. So far nothing else in XIV has a hard limit on how many people can participate, but if they add something else similarly limited, expect it to be in the same boat.
Whichever server you pick, have fun!
