Unable to launch FFXIV Updater.

When trying to log in and update the game I received the following two errors: "Windows cannot access the specified device, path, or file" then this error follows: "Unable to launch FFXIV Updater [11035][30425][30416]".

I've attempted to run as administrator. I've disable my anitvirus/internet security programs. I've restarted my PC.. nothing seems to work.

Anyone have any suggestions? I only just started playing this game a week ago and outside of the initial patching when i purchased it, this is the first time the updater has needed to launch.

I've attempted to go into my system files and launch the updater manually as well as the game, this also did not work. I received the error "Unable to launch ffxivupdater.exe. Please use ffxivboot.exe." when i use the boot.exe i once again get the two above errors.

I have checked all my security permissions in the properties windows for the file locations to insure everything is checked for access. It is.

Ok I've resolved this issue, it seems that before i disabled my antivirus it logged the patch files as a virus and quarunteed them, silly me, sorry to wast a thread over this.
