Best MMO
My wife and I have played nearly all of the MMOs and we have been playing this almost a year and after that time agree that this is the best one we have ever played. There are great memories and soft spots in our hearts for those other games. UO because it was the first, The wonder of EQ. The polish of WoW. We have learned along the way. We no longer devour content, there is no rush now. This helps a lot. The community is great(not perfect) They reward you playing tanks and healers, so you can find them. They reward experienced players for grouping with new players. There all multiple paths to progression, you can get great and good looking gear without ever raiding. There is challenging raiding content for those that desire it. They consistently put new content in the game...say that one again. I have pulled 6 people into the game and I am sure I will get more. If you join Exodus, look me up I would love to show you around. I need to pay it forward.

The biggest thing that sold it for me, was that in ffxiv I could level all classes and professions without creating new characters. And unlike most MMOs, this games crafting system is pretty intricate. For some of my friends, this is a negative to the crafting, but I enjoy the effort required to make something using the skill system. It rewards planning and proper reactions to the condition of your craft.

I especially like how the crafting is about strategy rather than how good are your reflexes like EQ2.

I agree with this. SE has made it so the casual player can level relatively quickly and you only need one character. I have also recently started crafting and I find it insanely addictive. Actually thinking and strategy involved in crafting in this game! Glad you both are enjoying it! Now, to get my wife to play! (will probably never happen)

I generally do not craft, my experience over the last couple of decades taught me that it was usually boring and I could sell the mats and buy what I wanted crafted from someone else and stay ahead. I have enjoyed the crafting I have done here though. I have not hit it that hard yet because I still have main story to do and as an adult with a family my time to play is not what it once was. However, if I have a spare 30-40 minutes I can log on to DF, queue for 5 duties as healer, hit join in progress and the duty pops instantly. Meaning with even a small amount of time without having to plan for it, I can log on and get something productive done. I have run WoD in less than 30 mins. In all those years playing I haven't main'd a healer until here and I LOVE MY WHITE MAGE.
