More info regarding auto attack stopping mid-fight issue
I know that others have already reported issues with auto-attack sometimes not functioning correctly during a fight. I have some additional info that I have noticed seems to coincide with the bug, which hopefully may be of some help in solving the problem.
The situation:
On many occasions, auto attack will be functioning correctly at first and then one of the following events happens:
1) the monster uses a spell/ability that causes my character to sleep or otherwise be unable to continue attacking
OR
2) the monster hides (such as when a mole burrows or a gnat teleports)
OR
3) I have been fighting more than one monster in a group, used an AOE and one or more monsters dies and I am now targeting one of the remaining monsters
after which this problem occurs:
Auto Attack does not resume even though the monster is targeted, my character is no longer under the effect of any spell/ability the monster had used, I am locked on, in range, and I have hit enter/action keys several times, etc. Note that I am still able to use action bar buttons to fight but auto attack does not resume for the duration of the battle. If no actions are currently available, I am unable to fight at all.
The only way to force auto attack to resume is to unlock and then un-target the monster or hit the F key to disengage, and then quickly re-target, lock on again, and re-engage. Such a delay obviously can be very problematic when fighting a tougher foe.
I am using Windows 7 with Verizon FIOS as my internet provider. I have experienced this multiple times on many different days while while fighting as a Pugilist and as a Gladiator, using a keyboard/mouse to control my character. This bug occurs in any zone I have fought in, while playing solo and while in a group.
