Golden Saucer.

Am I the only one that thinks the prices on stuff from the Golden Saucer are insane?
All my friend playing triple triad are earning a lot... Since they actually like to play that game and actually manage to win. With games being fast and profits can be high its easy to grind some MGP. I only do chocobo racing and so far it takes a lot of time and it seems like i will have to spend all my MGP on chocofeed and breeding costs. Leaving nothing left for buying a mount or bunny ears except winning the jackpot, twice.

Yeah the returns on the minigames are ridiculously tiny. The two cactpot lotteries are...well it's lottery. The chocobo racing and triple triad give the biggest returns but if you're terrible at triple triad most of your profit will be eaten by upkeep on the chocobo...

I thought the Golden Saucer would be some relaxed fun. to kill the gap in content coming up before heavensward and just to kill time now that stuff like all classes to 50 has been achieved. But its just making me rage about how bad i am at triple triad and get annoyed by chocobo racing since its so RNG based. Really want the rewards but you really have to play 8 hours a day in the gold saucer till heavensward to even get the mount or keep playing this game casually for the next 5 years.

I don't think the Golden Saucer was intended to be the new raid. Its something to do when you've finished your dailies or to pass some time while waiting for a friend to get on. Try to relax and enjoy the game. I'm sure they'll be making adjustments over time but its the first day. :)

The thing was released several hours ago. It would be pointless to make all the rewards attainable so quickly. Just try to enjoy it, especially for those of us that are stuck at work and can't gain one single mgp lol. :)

I think the intention was that this is something people would do casually for a long period of time with a reward for their effort.

The problem is that they do not truly understand the magnitude of how important glamour is to a good chunk of the playerbase. The gambler's attire and the bunny outfit are not rewarded to casual players. Personally, I won't spend the time getting it, as it's not worth the effort I could be putting into progression.

Also, if you remember what the original Gold Saucer was like in FFVII, with it's 3,000 gil entrance fee each time you wanted to visit, or a once-only, 30,000 gil fee for the 'Lifetime Pass', and how most of it's attractions (other than the arcade machines in Wonder Square) required GP to play, then you should have known what to expect. It's a casino/themepark, that's it's purpose - it's there to take your money.

if you are a casual player an don't have much time to play gold saucer play the daily cacpot you are almost guaranteed to win some points, unless you are really unlucky

...honestly though, I wasn't even surprised at that. :( Although - 1mil for a mount is beyond ridiculous.
