Square: What happened with playing Triple Triad anywhere?

I'm trying to play friends at the FC house or in Mist, and no right-click option shows up.

The helpfile indicates:

The patch notes say otherwise. What happened Square? Why can't we play Triple Triad at our house? :(

They already said earlier that they will be looking into adding a Triple Triad table furnishing. Not 100% sure why it couldn't have been ready at launch, but so be it.

But Triple Triad already generates a table when you play. I don't think the proposed furnishing would have any functionality.

i like the fact that matches are limited to a few spots, it makes it easier to find games with strangers and gives those set locations some traffic. It's awesome to step into a pub and find it filled with real people all gathered for a common purpose.

I set up a corner of my FC Estate specially for Triple Triad and you can't play Triple Triad in houses?

I think it would have been infinitely more awesome to walk around Housing Wards challenging various people at their Estates.

That sounds awesome, I agree, but in practice there are hundreds of estates. Allowing the matches there would only dilute the Triple Triad player base. Since there is no duty finder, I think the people that are looking for matches need to be consolidated into just a handful of locations.

Seriously, I'd love to be fishing, and bust out a game against other players around me.

Allowing matches anywhere wouldn't dilute the playerbase, it would simply mean you can play Triple Triad anywhere. People who are "farming" will still gravitate to the NPCs regardless. All this restriction does is prevent the community from enjoying the game anywhere. Rather than going "Hey, want to play Triple Triad?" and just playing Triple Triad, we have to go to a designated area for no conceivable reason. You can't challenge random people you meet while doing other content and you can't have private matches in your home, nor can you work on interesting community driven events. There are plenty of Estates, sure, but something like a Free Company Triple Triad Tournament is something you'd set up and get people interested in for a short time; I recall there being a Free Company that sets up a Maid Cafe around Valentines Day, it would be similar to that.

Still curious about his. Helpfile says "anywhere", and at least we'd like to play in our house or outside in housing areas.

I've been wondering about this for a long time. It doesn't make sense that we can only play TT in specific areas.
