"Know when ___ was last up?"

I've been seeing that asked more and more recently as more relics are getting worked on and more people do their daily hunts.
This makes me curious. If we have a weather tracker and an NPC that can tell you about the notorious monsters in an area, couldn't there be some kind of watchman who looks for disturbances in areas (FATEs), when they last appeared, and if or not they were successfully cleared? That would give everyone a reliable way to know if they just missed what they're after, and even if or not the FATE's at default difficulty or potentially scaled up to accommodate more people.
