Will all level 50 content be kept level synced when 3.0 comes?

Just wondering, will all the current content for level 50s be capped for player level and item level when the expansions arrives?

If they let level 60+ players take on some of the "instant wipe" mechanics we have now (e.g. Iron Giants in LotA), we might see some interesting effects.

I'd like to know this as well. I have not been able to get good parties for EX primals so I have been saving them for when I hit L60 bit if they will be level-synched then I might try to find some bored people or buy the wins now. I'd hate to buy them and would much rather wait and get over geared and over leveled if we can do that since that is how I play all FF games.

They will probably cap it all for ilevel and character level. There is so much lv 50 content though, with varying degrees of difficulty, that I wonder what they will do with it all to keep it alive. There will probably be a "lv 50 dungeon roulette" and "lv 50 trial roulette" so that new players will always have someone to group with when they do story questlines. But what about coil, extremes, and crystal tower?

I figure a lot of the expansion updates will be handled similarly to "that other game", such as ilevel advancements and new jobs and races being compatible with old content even if it breaks the lore. (IE: Yuguri telling Au Ra characters "I can't show you my face because you wouldn't accept me" in the 2.2 questline.)

What the other game never handled well, however, was keeping low level content relevant. Once you were over the recommended level, you were ineligible for random queue. I really appreciate how FFXIV hasn't been abandoning it's older content (even if I hate losing abilities when level synced), so it will be interesting to see how they handle it. I can't think of any other MMO that has this approach.

I sincerely hope that they either remove the level sync to older dungeons altogether, or at least add in a questable option to remove the level sync.

They will be synced just like literally any content in this entire game is.

You can't do any of the non-50 dungeons as a level 50, solo. Why would they make level 50 content not synced?

As much as I'd love to go solo copperbell mines or go 3-man garuda ex, I highly doubt that'll happen.

they'll probably employ iLevel sync rather than level sync.

Probably ilvl130 sync for anything that doesn't already have sync.

Let's hope they think of a way other than what they do now, which is the relic quest. I mean I guess they could be lazy and just make us do the old stuff again with the next relic quest(s) which would be gross.
