Do you all feel like
Do you all feel like you can't really make your characters look FF-ish?
I don't know how to say it, but the faces, customization, don't make me feel like I'm playing a final fantasy character, like a character I'd be able to see in a main game.
I wish customization was a little bit better and we had more options for faces :(

They sure look like a Tetsuya Nomura character *grins*
Young, beautiful and looking like a pop singer.

Character creation is lacking for sure, but this game definitely has the corny "kawaii" look the fanboys/girls salivate over. Don't know what you aren't seeing.

I think even more than faces, what we need is an overhaul of body sizes and shapes for all races and genders. We need old, young, and younger; fat, slim, and thin; tall and short that are REALLY taller and shorter...
Excluding chapters with anonymous heroes like I and III, Final Fantasy was a series with an ample variety of looks in its casts. And so long as we won't have that, we're all doomed to all look the same, with the only slight variation of races. Even clans don't make a difference outside of Hyur...

I wouldn't expect many more options any time soon. Hairstyles are one thing, but the characters currently all adhere to the game's aesthetic.
Also "isn't very final fantasy" is crazy to me. Our characters are very much in line aesthetically with X, XI, XII, XIII, and XV's design.
The early ones just had more simplified designs due to hardware limitations, and our outfits are different because non-MMO characters are designed to have iconic outfits to make them instantly recognizable. Logic that completely falls apart in the MMO games since we're not "iconic" characters, we're "ourselves," one of many.

I just wish that there was more facial hair options for male Miqo'te. I want Ro-sham-broe's glorious beard.
