action Leve Progression?

Greetings, I was hoping someone could explain how to unlock the 400pt special Faction Leve Missions(the ones that drop runestones). Is there a direct path from leve to leve? faction points accumulate slowly and I'd rather not waste any ^^

also, can they be failed and then restarted like other leves? Do the runestones drop from enemies or just the chest at the end? do the lower cost versions of these missions drop anything of interest?

You'll want to do the "Special Missions." The first couple cost 100 faction points each. When you clear the first one, the 2nd one becomes available, then the 3rd. The last one is a faction NM, and you can get runestones from that.

Sure. You can get special rewards, but it seems to be random. The other drops are just normal mob drops. Except that the NMs can occasionally drop special items. For example, you can get the buffalo horn from Tarbh U-whatever. It's the same horn that drops from the Great Buffalo, and can be crafted into an NM weapon.
