So, anyone have some tips they like to share?
I tend to use miasma 2 when I'm going to contagion. I also made a macro with aetherflow to play a sound effect so I know it has 5 seconds left on cooldown.
~.O what did you all think this was?

what can i say..it over 100 thread about summoner..i think dev should buff it in the next patch..
There are some nuances Summoners should be aware of. If whatever your egi is currently attacking is bound.or.slept, you egi will stop attacking and return to your side or possibly another target. Sic or obey will not resume attack while the debuff is up - you must use a special move.
Consider using steady then special attack to force out a special attack instead of having it queued. This works better with Garuda than Ifrit/Titan unless they are placed.
If you're separated from your egi, it is possible to have them teleport back to you with steady. This is pretty useful in PVP - this does not always work, though.
Not a tip, but to increase general awareness, spell speed does affect Garuda's attack speed
With regards to your Raging Strikes cycle:
I see most people who give tips talking about putting buffs down like this: Bio II, Miasma, Bio, Fester, [Contagion], Quickcast -> Shadow Flare, Several Ruins (I don't do this anymore, so don't recall how many), and Fester.
But, that never made sense to me. The DoT benefits from being up a longer time in a buffed state. The way to get that is to apply Bio twice in a single round of Raging Strikes. You'll get more from 15s of buffed Bio than you would from using that GCD for a Ruin.
So, instead, apply: Bio, Bio II, Miasma, Fester, Ruin II, Quick Cast, Shadowflare, Ruin II, Bio, Fester, Contagion.
Doing that gets 15s more of buffed Bio. Then these DoT's come off at "the same time" (meaning, if you start casting the Miasma when it's about to come off, then Bio II, then Bio, you'll catch all the buffs just before they come off... plus minus some time).
Isn't that superior?
Miasma II unless buffed is pointless. Only use it when hitting multiples.
Was no need to make a new thread for this.
The thread was about sharing tips to others on playing summoner. Those were just my opinions, and I only miasma 2 when I am casting contagion or as you offered for multiple targets.
Sorry if that came across rude, wasnt my intention :)
So a question; Has anyone ever consider or try using Titan to tank the Prosector snake in turn 7? Was thinking about this fight and if having Titan tank it at the 8 o'clock position from the boss would allow the party to ignore the add and focus on killing the boss. Thus avoiding the petrification ability since everyone would be facing away from add.
Can Titan survive the damage? Are there any mechanics that would make this impossible?
I'm one of the few smns who uses ifrit. Before you crucify me, know that the my raid members tell me My dmg is outrageous. This is because ifrit benefits from the slashing and blunt debuffs the warrior and monk use. Also, ifrit uses auto attacks so I have many more avenues to gain a spellspeed buff from crits. However, to use ifrit in coil, you need almost as much accuracy as a tank. maybe 1 or 2 less than tanks. That said, I still do my open with garuda. So you use pots, throw up dots, contagion, then swiftcast ifrit and rouse, spur, enkindle. All the while weaving in festers. It is however, worth knowing that in most fights with an add phase, I re-summon garuda at the start of the add phase and when it's over, I do the contagion rotation and swiftcast ifrit again. It doesn't work for everyone, but it does wonders for my dps. Just remember, after you summon ifrit put him on sic. Also, if you need contagion for the add phase, pay attention to the enemy's health so that you can put ifrit on obey before the change and have contagion ready.
