Wow loot exchange

EDIT: WoD loot exchange (darn auto-correct)


Hello, I think it is fairly easy to accidently loot wrong in WoD. To fix this I think it would be a good idea to add an NPC where you can exchange your unbound gear from WoD for a reset on your weekly lot for treasure.

That way if you screw up and accidentally greed a gear then you can just turn it in and try again.



How I Goofed:
I decided to get my weekly carbon coat from the side quest for running all 3 CT. I Q up LotA, I need and greed everything that will be of use to me. I then Q up ST, I need and greed everything that will be of use to me. I Q up WoD, after the first boss I greed on gear because I think it will be of use to me... oh wait what am I doing? Instantly remembering that I only get one gear a week here, but the damage is done... unfortunately no one else in the party role and I am stuck.

Yes these things can be avoided but sometimes things just happen to all of us at one time or another.

It's not a bad idea, but I'm not sure they'd implement it, if only because it's tough to justify using dev resources to create a system for people who weren't paying attention to where they're clicking. It's not that it doesn't happen or that anyone is stupid for doing it, it's just that it's...too easily avoidable.

i would like the option to change my roll to pass if i chose the wrong thing... this has happened to me before as well. or even an extra popup after it is awarding me the loot to say "do you really want to have this item and use up your once a week thing?" and if i say no it passes to the next winner

To be honest, you should have left the party once you found out you've accidentally rolled on it. 30 minute penalty > 6 day penalty.

Honestly, I wish it were possible to just simply pass once you roll and find out, oops, you messed up. I know it's not a fair comparison, but FFXI did do this.

I say get rid of lockouts in these 24 man raids all together from the start, then we can actually get modern gear for more than 2 or 3 jobs and won't feel like we're wasting a massive amount of time when you don't see the drops you're looking for in over 20 runs.

I'm aware that it's not necessary to gear up other jobs for most of the content in this game but to me it would make things like WoD a lot more fun.

Doing something that can take up to and sometimes over an hour for a small handful of tomes and an extremely small chance at a minion just doesn't float my boat but I feel like the only way I can gear up my alts with things that aren't over 6 months old is to do WoD over and over again until my eyes bleed.

We could also just put 24-mans on the token system and let everyone get a chance each boss fight. o.O

What you would find then is people lotting on gear they can't use, simply to trade it in for gear they can use so they don't have to do WoD again that week which would sort of negate the whole idea of doing the run to get the gear you want/need.

Thats not what he is saying at all. He said if you had gear from that week that you mis lotted you could trade it to try to lot something else, not trade it for the item you wanted.
