Munda lag question
So I've narrowed my main job down to ninja so I started doing some more digging into the class. There seems to be a lot of complaints about mudras and latency..could tell me if this a huge issue? And exactly what is the problem...does it just go off in time or? Thx

I forgot to note that I'm coming back after quitting 2 months after release (downing twintania), played a paladin and decided to just start fresh

The main problem is that sometimes the game does not register your input. Mudras have to be performed in the correct order, else it will fail. No Jutsu means a DPS loss, weird rotation which leads to more DPS loss.
The thing I wonder is if you read the Mudra thread on the same page your thread is on. It's 14 pages long. Not sure why your question does not fit there if you would not become wiser after reading through the good info given there.

It's a latency dependent class. The rhythm to the mudra is different every single time for me. Not to mention kassatsu has a mind of it's own also, sometimes insta reset, sometimes like almost 1 sec delay. This won't get addressed either, it's a ping issue that doesn't affect their main customers. They even said they have no plans to fix it or address it. "not anytime soon" but, yh y'know...
Optionally, u can opt to watch ur mudra hotbar to avoid mudra fail and since you are doing it by visualizing and not by rhythm ( the obvious intended way ), then you aren't watching other things, and this leads to definite dps loss. Latency has little effect for other classes ( for me at least ) due to the design of the GCD/oGCD queue up system, but the mudra involves near 0 ping to use it in it's intended way, while everything else in the game is designed to be forgiving to bad ping.
I really really love this job, the trick attack -->kassatsu-->ration combo should be the most fun combo in the game to perform, but for low ping players such as myself, it's a sad state of affairs.
If you have no mudra lag, horay \o/ You can enjoy this great job xD
