I thought it was pretty well done, akin to how Moogle Delivery Quests go that introduce short stories we wouldn't have known otherwise, tied to what is happening in the main story no less.
I really like it.

Especially the BGM while you're reading text; I think it got better with the latest story quests but I recall many very quiet and almost awkward moments when you could hear footsteps or other noise while reading the dialogue... :p
