Due to soul crushing que times, I am considering switching gc's. I've read you lose your rank, can't wear earned gear and there is a waiting period to switch back. My question is, When you switch back do you get your old rank?

Due to soul crushing que times, I am considering switching gc's. I've read you lose your rank, can't wear earned gear and there is a waiting period to switch back. My question is, When you switch back do you get your old rank?
Rank is preserved for if/when you return to your GC. I haven't done this personally because in my case, I feel losing the ability to equip my ranked PVP gear is too much of a screw-over, but I've known others who have swapped to another and back again and gotten their old PVP rank & privileges back.
