After Nexus...

Hey all...

I'm nearing my first nexus now (yeah took me 5 month because the light thingy obviously bugged out on my axe and was stuck 2 month on slight.... :mad: so i had lost mood to even go on with it till patch).

But now my main swapped once again from a tank to a healer class and so I wonder if I could start that questline after Nexus on my war and hand it in for my sch in the end once I'm done with the Nexus on it? :confused: As I doubt I can afford both at once at those gc seal costs (i have the 4 bombard cores but still...).

My friends meant it should work but would help if anyone can actually proof it aka done it him/herself.

If you are asking about doing the zodiac quest after nexus on a different job than what you want the weapon for, then yes it will work. I have been tanking most of the dungeons because the wait times for blm are too long to do a decent amount of runs in a night.

Hmmm I meant like with Atma I could collect em on any job with zenith but handing in for another job. That I can do the questline itself on another job I know (doubt tho it would make any difference if i go tank or heal). Its just like I start the Zodiac quest on war.... finish sch nexus hand quest in for sch... if that is possible?

The only part of the quest line that is job specific is the beginning, all other parts can be done on any class, as long as the required items are in possession. you wouldn't be able to do your books for school relic while playing war, or get light for a different weapon, as those are specific to the class. Starting and turning in the quest can be done as long as you have the correct stage of the relic needed. And all previously completed quests, whether it be collecting atma, or infusing the sphere scroll, the quests are automatically marked as complete, and the quest doesn't need to be re-started, you'll just do the work.

You can, OP. I had whm relic, grinded out my scholar relic while doing the final Zodiac portion of the quest. Once I completed my scholar nexus I could upgrade straight to last resort.

Honestly, the gc seals aren't a huge deal. On my third zodiac now, and believe me, the gear you collect to turn in for seals while doing the dungeons for the zodiac phase, will pay for your bombard cores 2 or 3 times over. But yeah. Kind of the beauty of this last quest, you can do the 4 quests as many times as you like, regardless of whether or not you even have a second nexus ready to go. They are repeatable forever once you unlock them. You can even go super efficient and work on Nexus and Zodiac steps simultaneously by gathering lights while hunting for dungeon drops. I got almost 3/4 of my lights by the time I got my last dungeon drop.
