Keeper of the Lake Final Boss SMN Issue

Hello all,

Not sure if its just me, but I can't seem to prevent my summon from dying in this fight.

There are an awful of of AoEs that my summon just can't avoid in time, and I feel I have to spam Sustain to keep it alive.

Is there a certain location where I should place it or am I doing something wrong?

Anyone else having this problem?

The middle is about your best bet. All but the targeted AoE's are consistent and they probably don't target a summon so if you have it in the middle lined up so it avoids most things at max with a single movement then you will be fine. It can probably eat one of the line AoE's when it does 3 sets. The two sets it's really easy to line yourself up so none of them hit. Then you just need to move it for the half room thing slightly and for the shield.

The pattern for this boss is super easy, you should be able to preemptive move with your pet on obey/follow with out issue if using Garuda. With ifrit you will have to use place. Just place the pet on the back half, wait for the front aoe to go off then place your pet on the front half.

The best part of this fight: the shield doesn't even protect the pet if what I saw is correct.

I try to weave Sustain into my rotation as often as possible :)

Just park your pet on either the left or right side of the outer edge of the inner ring and it'll avoid most of the AoEs, including the two blue ones.

I also noticed that if you put your pet in the outer circle ring, middlish to left or right section garuda will stay alive.

This pretty much works you can line it up using the sleeping dragons you want to be about in line with the front claw on the inside although you will still hit the 3rd AoE with this usually but you can afford to have your pet eat one usually. The only thing that really sucks is if people stack near your summon and all their targeted AoE's land on it.
