SCH Relic Stats
Hello,
I am having a dilemma on what stats I should be going for my Last Resort. I like to DPS a fair amount with SCH, as our DPS is a bit on the low side. I brought up the idea of going Acc on my relic and my group thought I was crazy. Should have T10 downed by the end of the week (We are really close!).
Which of these stats sets do you think I should go for and why?
Acc/Crit
Crit/Acc
Crit/Det
Crit/Det/Acc
Thanks for the help/input =)

My gear until now has been optimized for WHM (we are switching)... so yes some of my pieces are meh.

I'd like to say max out accuracy, considering you like to DPS as a scholar. If anything, having (near) capped accuracy will help your DPS far more than any other stat. Healing gear only offers a small amount of accuracy. Getting +53 from your relic would really help in this case. If you would also consider getting yourself a pair of platinum rings and platinum earrings, you can get 499 accuracy*. Add in Apkallu omelettes and you're on 508 accuracy. You'll be capped for up to T12 and near cap for T13. Bio, Bio II and Shadowflare can't miss, but Ruin, Miasma, Aero and Energy Drain can. If anything hurts you as a scholar off DPSing, it's missing your spells. Especially if they're Miasma and Aero.
If you don't mind the misses on Ruin, Miasma, Aero and Energy Drain, crit/det would be better then.
*Assuming with all other BiS pieces. May vary depending on your choice for BiS and choices for crafted accessories.

Not crazy at all. I'm not even pushing final coil and I have acc on my relic (not full acc). If you are looking to contribute to dps and dps checks, I don't see why it would be considered crazy at all. It is one of the few places we can actually get additional accuracy on something with mnd. Other SCH weapon options have healing stats but the relic can be used to fill in a dps gap that you can't fill with other options.

I have Crit/Det/Acc on my Last Resort. For Novus melds I did 36 Crit, 24 Det, 15 Acc, as this gives you 8 bonus stat points on Last Resort, which is the best you can do without going Full Crit and Full Det.
The extra Acc is very useful IMO. Less chance to miss with the few GCDs you spend DPSing is great.

Thanks for the responses guys! Can you still get 8(or 9) points from an Acc/Crit or Crit/Acc relic?
-
The only ways to get 9 points are Crit/Det (which is ridiculously expensive), or 11 crit / 31 det / 33 pie (which is still expensive and isn't great for SCH). I'm not quite sure of the break points for Acc, but I believe max Crit, rest Acc will be +8, as will max Acc, rest Crit. The spread I posted above is one of the cheaper ways to get higher Crit and Det, as well as +8 stats, as you only need 4 Tier IV infusions, and they are all 100% success.

I would say Crit would bethe better stat to focus on because I know Scholars rely more on Crit in their healing, so while it'll help with DPS, it'll help with healing too. After that I guess Det and Acc equally would be the way to go, at least for me.

I have atm 36 crit 29 Spellspeed (yes u love this crap :P) rest det. But Ill redo it gonna max crit and might replace the spellspeed with accuracy, which will spare me some cost on accessory melds... not sure yet tho

Nope that's fine, I know healers that run max Acc/Det (WHM) and Acc/Crit (SCH) for DPSing - especially when pushing Savage pre-2.4
Acc/Det (WHM) & Acc/Crit (SCH) are for DPS intentions
Crit/Det are for max healing output
Pie/Det (WHM) & Pie/Crit (SCH) are for progression (and Dreadwyrm Codex is stupidly Pie/Crit lol)

Getting into this topic i have a question too i have finished my Zodiac and melded 44 crit 23 det and 8 accuracy how you guys think about this relic ? is bad or at least decent?
