Request: Level 1 / Gil RMT Seller (Throttling Idea)

This probably has been addressed several times, but just want to add another notch to the tally.

I just started playing again after a year of inactivity, and recently transferred to Jenova to play with some friends. I've been spammed relentlessly by Gil Sellers. It was never this bad on Sargatanas, and I think I had maybe 50-60 total in the first 6 months playing, now only a week on this server I'm up to over 60 blocked names.

Suggestions:
- Include inability to message people if you are level 1 unless they are your friend.
- Right click -> Report for RMT
- Option to block messages from Level 1 players or under level 10.

It takes about 2 minutes to get to level 2/3 just from killing random stuff outside of town. Plus we know there are bots that use programs to level out the wazoo to 50 easily, same with gathering classes. All blocking the lower levels players would do is cut them off for more EXP'd players.

There have been times I've been approached by legit newbies asking a few questions so they could go on their merry way, and I don't think the level blocking would go any good.

I would like to see a right click report RMT spammer report feature. I don't know why we have to submit and fill out a form: what server, what time, name of character, what zone, for reporting a RMT spammer.

What would be good to have is to have a quest where it asks the player some questions which can only be figured out by an actual player at the other end. You can't send a tell as a new player until you complete a tutorial(test to see if your even human).

A Dynamic sign that asks a question like a capatcha and is different for every new player. What is the weather? Or asks What time is it, there is a weather checking apparatus nearby which gives the answer, and there is a clock nearby which has the time, only a player would know which answer to give to the NPC based on what the sign says.

If you fail the quest 10 consecutive times it locks you out for 10-15 mins. The number of attempts can be tweaked but 10 times is generous to be sure your human.

It's not hard to ban IP's based on region. A lot of what Blizzard did was lockout a lot of China logging onto US Servers and the only way they'd be able to get to the region is by proxy. This could be directly correlated with server lag issues and they could do a server overhaul, but that's just me maybe.

Not enough is being done and there's tons of money being flown into the game...so what's the holdup now? I'm pretty fed up...

Just filtered out over 100 people in a week's worth of play, and now I have turned my tells off my main window and notification sounds.


So at the cost of my friends or potential people wanting to do something gameplay related with me, I have turned it off. This is the severity of the issue now.

Wonder if SE thought of trying to implement a system like the PLEX program from EVE. Don't think RMT services like that service...
