I think it may just a bug at the moment that the server needs a long server time-out before it recognizes that a character is disconnected,
but better post that problem here instead of being quite and have no changes.
The "10 minutes disconnect" is a pretty bad thing and I hope it will be fixed soon.
I have never had to wait ten minutes only about 2 at most. Might be a bug on your world maybe? I know from playing with my brother that your character does stay logged in for a bit before he/she vanishes once a disconnect happens.
I've had this before, it is an extreme inconvenience if you are in the middle of a leve party.
This has happened to me also, it is a real pain and for some reason the game thinks you are still logged in and sometimes are for that amount of time >.<
Yes! This is very annoying. I get disconnected often, and having to wait 5+ minutes to log back in is frustrating.

ya i have had this when your character is still in game so you cant get back in. especially with my connection its a pain
the thing is if you are getting disconnected and not doing it through the log out feature then the server needs to find your character and check there connection level then make a decision to kick you off. As you can imagine this can take some time to find your character. That is also why it differs between everyone. There isn't much you can really do to reduce the time of it other than try and stop what is crashing you.
i just log in and relog over and over too the server find out that " oh he not really on let me d/c him from the game"
