PUG, the worst DOW now..
I use to like playing my pug when I was rank 1-20, before this "patch" stuff started happening. Now after ranking almost every job to 50 and pug to nearly 48. I have to say that pug is the worst DOW out of the DOW class. It use to be great. Use to be a time when watching a pugs fists fly reminded me of 100 fists and it was fun.. Now the pug is lame..
I'm lucky to get one swing in before the lancer or archer kills just about every mob in the game with 2 big hits. The only good thing about pug now is that you can use it's abilities on other classes. It's the class I try to avoid adding to my parties now whenever possible. They do too little damage and it takes them too long to get tp. Whatever you did to pug, you ruined it..
You have created a standing joke now though. That is that "Yea pugs abilities are great, on other classes"... and it's sad but true..

I don't see that Pug makes TP that slow. You have Pummel, that give u tons of TP. Maybe it won't have to use MP too, but well.
Plus all that, you have Counter's too. Jarring Strike and Haymaker, are like 2 WS that can be used with 300 TP when you evade, and with featherfoot and Presence of Mind, you can evade a lot.
It's not one of the best DoW right now, but is not that bad. : /

Well, if you think PGL is bad you should play MRD more.
But yeah, 1.18 was a very unfortunate patch overall. PGL is still pretty decent tho...IMO its at 3rd position of "the less screwed classes" rank, losing only to ARC, which barely changed, and LNC, who actually had some positive boosting from all these changes.

All I wish they'd do to PUG real quick was remove the "evade an attack" requirement from Simian Thrash.
As well as change an ability like... say... descerning eye... to be an increased evasion that lasts 30 seconds or so.

I think I have an idea that would help. Reduce the guild mark abilities cooldown timers. from 60 to 30 and from 30 to 20.
Also Pugs weaponskills are lame.. It's the same animation for most of them..Ok downward punch, rinse, repeat..
Mrd hasn't seemed to bad to me yet, but it's only 24.. :P

Those who played FFXI that are starting MRD right now might not see the difference...because right now its just a FFXI WAR. But for those already higher many performance differences are noticeable...specially when you try and use its native actions. I can say MRD is broken right now...buuuut this isn't MRD forum so i'd better stick with PGL, right? =P
I had no probs with PGL animation other than simian trash purple ball...yes, it should have a better pitfighter-like attacks, goingfrom cross-counters and uppercuts until shouldertackles, headbutts, elbow strikes...ear bites (Ah, Tyson...yeah i remember how badass you were! IMO he was the best pugilist EVER! From his badass times until after his lameass ear bitting)...all the good stuff pitfighters should use! ^^
