[Mostly]Harmless is recruiting!

Hello everyone!

The social linkshell [Mostly]Harmless is recruiting! Are you a casual or new player, looking for friends to have fun with? Or perhaps you're more active and experienced player but haven't found a group you feel comfortable with? Then perhaps this is the linkshell you've been looking for!

We're a friendly european FFXIV linkshell on Lindblum server. Our goal is to have a nice, helpful and active community and experience some great adventures together. We're an active group with many kinds of non-obligatory events. Our gaming style is casual and focused on having fun.

Our linkshell was established during closed beta, and the first members were a group of friends from Caitsith server in Vana'diel. Due to lack of content during release our linkshell stayed small, but now that some of us are playing more actively again when the game is getting better and playerbase growing, we are looking for same-minded adventurers to play and have fun with. It doesn't matter who or where you are from, as long as you can follow our rules, the few we have.

1. No drama! Respect each other.

We have absolutely zero tolerance for drama. Understand that sometimes people get on your nerves, do things in a way you find irritating, disagree with you or otherwise are just plain annoying. This is no reason to start a fight or break friendships, it’s just human behavior. So take a deep breath, calm down, have a nice warm cup of tea and a chocolate chip cookie, and remember that we all have our virtues and flaws and we’re here to have fun as a group. If you have a problem with someone, solve it with private messages. If you feel someone is bringing bad atmosphere into the LS or breaking the rules, you can contact one of the officers and we will try to solve the problem the best we can.

We wish that everyone can also keep in mind that behind the characters all our members are real people with feelings and real lives. There's no point insulting each other over a game. So please be respectful towards each other and also towards people outside the LS aswell. Let's work together to make this a friendly server.

2. Help each other!

We can all achieve more things with a little help from our friends. The basic rule is, you should always help others more than you receive help yourself. Everyone should help their LS members whenever they can, but please understand that sometimes everyone has a right to feel tired or just lazy and take some time for just themselves. Also, as a rule of thumb, never ask help for something you are able to do by yourself. We are all glad to help, but only if the person is indeed in need of help and not just lazy. If you need something, try it yourself first and only ask for help if it doesn’t work out. And please keep in mind that getting help isn't a right, it's a priviledge, and we should remember to be thankful when someone spends their time helping us.

3. LS language

The LS language is English. We have members from many different countries so let's try to chat so that everyone can understand what we're talking about. Of course if only german/italian/french/finnish people are online you can speak German/Italian/French/Finnish but please try to keep the LS chat in English when we have members from different countries online.
