Recruiting and Dueling request

Hey! First post.
I look but found it really hard to tell if these things have been brought up or suggested before.

Why cant I recruit through playstation network?
My PSN friends are not my "e-mail" friends but they are alot more likely to try out the game then my "e-mail" friends. The recruitment codes and rewards should be made available to people who recruit via PSN.

Why can't I challenge someone to a duel in pvp or a Free Company to a ranked fight?
It would be a fun competition.

If these things have been asked for let me know where to look please. :)

1. Because PSN is owned by Sony, not Square Enix. Thus before SE could have adventurer recruitment made through the PSN Friend List, they would have to clear it with Sony first, which I presume, SE has probably decided would be too much trouble than it's worth).
2. Because FFXIV ARR is a PvE game - the PvP elements available are separate from the main game and are not an integral aspect of it. Games which have 1x1 PvP usually are based around that style of gameplay, or else it's so unbalanced it usually just breaks things. If you're hoping that ARR is based around PvP you'll be sadly disappointed.

I totally agree with you Enkidoh, not sure about the PSN thing don't play FFIV ARR on a ps3, but the PVP thing is dead on. Even in FFXI PVP was a side thing not apart of the main game. I have seen many times in the forums players stated they came to this game for the PVP, and have always been very disappointed. They just don't understand Final Fantasy games. They are all based around PVE. Though I know Yoshi was a big PVPer himself, so I think some believe PVP will be a bigger deal here then it is. I pretty much hate dueling, it gets very annoying when there are duals going on everywhere, and unless there is an option to turn it off, players are constantly bugging others to dual with them.
