I am in the same boat, I just got some time this week to log-in and play but after an update all I get now is this error.

I was able to log in this morning without any issues, but I tried logging in just a few minutes ago and I'm getting the lobby server connection errors now.

Same here on Faerie as well. Logged in fine this morning after patch, but now I'm getting exact same error.
