Is Lamia Dead?

I've noticed that Lamia is suffering very badly right now in terms of player population. There are players who are fresh 50's that are STILL gearing since post 2.3 - A lot of the server's high end raid groups are gone so there is no recruitment for Coil. A good majority of the FC's are quite possibly dead/inactive (to my knowledge) and the PF groups are very lack luster in terms of progression. The economy...let's not talk about it.

I've been thinking of moving to another server with my wife, but she insist we stay here. We have our own FC to ourselves, maybe opening it up would bring in more players to help speed up their progression. But the way Lamia is now, it's looking like it might need a server merge to help stimulate the population of players we have. If anyone is on Lamia come find me, I'd like to discuss hanging out or Coil or something. Just anything that beats idling around in-game just waiting for something to happen.

Seriously?? I actually visited the Lamia forum today for the sole purpose of looking at all the 'Population is BOOMING' threads...seriously I've been on Lamia about 6 months now and I have noticed the EXACT opposite, a steady rise in population to the point that during the last few weeks ive encountered sporadic log-in QUEUES which ive never ever ever seen on Lamia. Im just hitting gear level iLvl 80 (currently 79) so I cant speak for anything past BCOB turn 1, but even that has been almost instant queue pop the few times ive joined via duty finder for it. This is definetly not the thread i was expecting to see...is there any chance you could be...well...completely wrong/mistaken/really unlucky? Do you have wierd login/play times/hours?

What time does it seem dead to you? in my world it become pretty boring around 2AM not much going on but hunts. Still a lot of players but not much to do other then hunts lmao.

xD Hey Storm. Seen you in-game with your spiffy PvP gear. My usual play times are from 12:00 AM (EST) to 2:00 AM (EST) I've also checked out PF and it doesn't seem that there is much going on in terms of progression. Lost is currently the top FC after DHS fell off I guess. I'm in my own FC with my wife, we've been trying to recruit people to help them, but no fish are biting either. Maybe my sense of "alone" probably comes from the fact that there is nobody in our FC.

oh yeah, maybe.., recruiting is also hard, and definitely being a new start-up guild it would make you feel "alone", especially when you have only you and your wife in it.

You can always recruit fresh newbies but chances are you will be running around like a parent with a bunch of adopted kids asking for help, which isn't really that bad but compounded by "X" amount you will get burnt out in no time.

I suggest looking for like-minded people to start with, do some casual raids and recruit newbies above 30+, do fc exp buff that's always a good incentive.

If you decide to join another guild I can suggest "PURE", I was with them when I first started this game until recently, some of my friends irl and in game are in it also. they have at least 10-15 people online during peak, they also always have some sort of fc buff going on almost 24/7 (mostly exp + something else).

I only quit them because I pvp a lot and most (90%) of them pve and adders :P.

Hey Laxxus, I'm not currently pvp level, but is your guild recruiting? I'm very interested in pvp.

majority of players on lamia are getting off around when you get online, so that may be the reason it seems empty to you, other than that, the main reason for the lack of progression based recruitment is most progression focused groups are done with the current raid content, since patch 2.5 didnt bring anything extra in terms of progression (or even possible BiS changes), so there is more than likely a lot of people that are only raid logging by now.
as for starting up your own fc, it become rather difficult to start a new fc about a month after 2.0 release, and then again about 2-3 weeks after ps4 version was released, just because the majority of players want a well established fc to join to start with.

I would say that mainly the community isnt very active on the forums, not the server dead or dying. Maybe someone should make a General Discussion thread for the Server or something. That may help like minded people find each other. Just a thought if you want to find people you have to make an effort to look instead of just having people fall in your lap. Well I guess thats not true if you are toight like a tiger and where tight pants.
