You could skip half the cast bar on Ancient Flare (or whatever it's called, CT1 last boss) with enough DPS, which arguably makes it impossible for melee to reach the platforms if he was tanked in the middle.
Either that, or they buffed him, or it's bugged.
Classic example is Turn 2's boss. Wait for him to enrage, then just kill him. Forget all that plague stack management.
I don't think it's possible to skip Xande's Ancient Quaga. He does it every time after the meteor phases.
Glasya Labolas' squires phase can also be skipped.
With decent HP and DPS, you can ignore doing doors in amdapor city. Making Diabolos tank and spank at this point.
Did this once with a DF'd party on my monk. I was massively confused - but so much easier....!
*Garuda HM - Shriek is mostly ignored, and healed through, now. The sisters are skipped too, sometimes - Garuda is just burned before they seem to matter. Often, the first set of feathers is completely ignored.
*ST - once experienced Glasya being burned and killed before the jump pads had to even be used (and I still chase that ideal whenever I go in on DPS). Maybe we just all ignored the squires and I didn't realize...
*Copperbell (NM) - Old content, but still applies.... ADDs completely ignored and boss burned
*BCoB T3 - Ignoring all the mobs except the required, no matter how far they chase the group >___> *Wants to punch people for this method's chaos, but it's apparently done*
*LoTA King Behemoth's meteor (for Warriors, at least...)
This should be removed from the list. The only reason it's survivable is because they nerfed the fight significantly. Not because of iLvl.
One to add to the list though. Eventually my War had so much HP I could survive a tick of damage from the wall in T5. I laughed good at that one.
Ahhh, arighty - it was several months ago, so the details were forgotten by now, but it certainly had been a "Wait wha? He fell over and we didn't need to jump? o.o *checks reality*" moment.
Only other time I witnessed something close to that was his death a few seconds after landing back on the main platform again (jumped when he had just a few pixels HP left)
