Is this possible
Hi
I am new 2 Playstation, recently a really serious question came up:
1) I bought a PS4 (cool idea?), 500 sFR.-
2) I bought a Playstation plus card (100 sFr.-) It allows me to play online for 12 months. (This is already frakkin strange, but okay, we are all idiots).
3) Me buys FF14 (cool guy aint I?), me also buys other games.
AFTER 1 MONTH: I am still playing all the other games online, everything is fine, everything is fine, i m still the biggest boon in every game, but who cares, i am a cool guy
But then i try to login into ff14, what does it say?
a) U need 2 extand ur playtime
b) renew ur subscription
WWWWHHHHHHHHHAAAAAATTTTTT?
Are u telling me that besides buying the game, I have to pay a monthly fee to play the game? And that after I bought PS4 super cool card, which already gives me the right to play online?
What am I missing , thanks in advance?

Playstation Network subscriptions and FFXIV subscriptions are different things. PSN is Sony giving you access to online play with any game. The sub with Square Enix is entirely separate and gives you access to FFXIV regardless of platform (PC, PS3, PS4). That's just how MMOs with a subscription model work.
Also, It states right on the packaging of the game that you need a subscription to continue playing.
So yes, even though you have a year subscription to Playstation Network, that is a separate service from Square Enix who requires a monthly subscription to access their game.

BTW you dont need Playstation plus sub for Final Fantasy ^^

Unfortunately, SquareEnix =/= Sony. The two subscriptions are separate.
