Sporadic 5-10 game freezes - not just this game but all games

Hey guys,

I have a MSI 7950 video card. My computer is pretty good and I have 8gb ram. On this game and pretty much every game I play every few minutes the game will freeze up where I can see everything on screen but its like stuck in time, and then after 5-10 seconds everything that happened during that time will load at once and blast really quick across the screen. Can someone please give me some advice as to how I can fix this?
