Server Types

Is is true all the servers are the same for all regions and that's why everyone speaks japanese?

If you are asking if the servers are all in Japan, then yes, yes they are.

All servers are global, hence the Auto-Translate feature. However, some servers have greater concentrations of players from certain regions. If everyone is speaking Japanese on your server, it could either be because you are typically on during Japan peak hours or because your server has a larger concentration of Japanese players.

It really helps if you try to learn Japanese.

im on selbina and sometimes i feel like on the FFXIV box should be an addition information section to the required system information: "requires human abilitys: Japanese language"...

I'm on Mysidea, and there's a LOT of NA/EU players. I've partied with quite a few jp folk too, and have not quite passable japanese in roman characters, if you use auto translate and are curtious, they're more than helpful and willing to party.

This is actually one of the big things I like about FFXI and FFXIV. The simple fact they don't segregate their servers based on region/language. While you may not always be able to understand everything someone says, you get to meet some very interesting people because of it.
