So trying to start I wanted to play on a certain server. When I tried only a select few were actually available to be played on at the time. It said I would have to wait or pick another server.
With that being said, can someone shed some light upon what the approximate waiting time is for joining a server? And yes I know I can just get on another server I'm trying to play on certain ones for a reason.
There's no actual "waiting time", the restrictions on character creation are based on the actual number of people on the server at the time. This means that during the middle of the day during the weekends you will probably be locked out a lot of the servers. Most people have better luck during the early morning or late night during the week.
That said, the restriction opens and closes on its own periodically whereas the lodestone post is only updated every 4 hours, so it's worth a shot to just try a few times every so often.
