I'm getting a lot of those things to spawn but then i get near it, I actually select "harvest" from the menu, and then it tells me there's nothing here.

1.Always
2.Sometimes
3.Once (Did not reproduce)

Which character did the issue occur with?

Race:
Race of your character when the issue occurred.

World where the issue occurred.

Class and skill rank of your character when the issue occurred.

Even if there is an visible location to harvest from, the system of gathering forces your character to rotate between points and nodes so that a single spot could not be gathered from infinitely. The points which you see will never vanish but you can only continue to harvest from them if you rotate between at least 3 different points of harvest. The small movement of a harvest point does not count as gathering from a different point. If you read your chat log as you gather, it will tell you how many opportunities you have left to gather at each point which dependent on your class rank and the level your gathering skill.

This is not a bug and you simply have used up all of your chances to harvest from that point until you reset the point for your character. You need to go around collecting from other points to refresh the nodes by rotating between various gathering nodes (you can rotate between different kinds of points/nodes to do this, mining/fishing/botany). This prevents RMT from being able to simply place bots at individual harvesting points and gather endlessly as soon as points spawn in front of them.

If you seriously do not wish to move around to gather, fishing is the way to go and I'm still waiting for changes to fishing cause right now the number of fish bots in cedarwood (red coral +3) and the ferry dock (black sole) is out of control because a character does not need to move to refresh a fishing location.
