Suggestion: equipment sets enhanced system
We all know FFXIV -thanks God- it's not like FFXI where you can change quickly equips with macro DURING fights in like 0,1 seconds.
Yet, we all still change equip before/after fights/class change/dungeon run/whatever and many of us have different equips sets for different classes or same-class different needs... like a CON main heal set and nuke set, for example.
Why dont add an equipment sets system to make this more easy and give work (and gil) to DoH? So not a UI-only sistem...
How would this work?
After equipping what I want, in the current equipment menu I have three new buttons other that the current slots: "Load set" "Save to set" "Manage sets".
While the first two explain theirself, I wanted to say some words about the third one: after creating one or more sets, we have the possibility to custom them. How? We can add to every set we've created an item (which can be crafted and some are r/e, dropped from NM or similar things), which will have different effects based on the item itself.
What are the effects of these items?
We can have different ones, like...
- Restoring item: equipments associated with that set get restored a lil of their durability (like 5%) every 6 hours... like anima restoring time -no need to have this set "equipped"
- Protection item: equipments associated with this set get damaged less during fight and/or after returning from KO
- Materia enhancing item: equipments associated with this set, will have their materia related stats boosted during fight, under some conditions/circumstances and only if the set is equipped
etc etc
Of course a same equip can be in different equipment sets, but also the item effects apply only to a single set so an equip which is in more sets only get the effect of the currently equipped set
