This is the best single UI improvement of 2.5, IMO. I encourage SE to keep making UI improvements like this to enable better targeting, action and display options for console users.
For macro 99, Ive already made Cleric Stance for healers, and Marking for tanks macros. These work much better for me at this (static) button location than they ever did on a (dynamic) hotbar.
