Unable to update
The client starts the update and gets about 1/5 the way through every time before freezing. 2 minutes later I get an error message telling me that it failed. I restarted the clinet, my computer, ran ipconfig/dnsflush, restarted my router (and all the other ridiculous stuff the FAQs suggested I try).
Anyone got any suggestions? Somewhere I can download the update myself or something?

Not to mention the error message tells me to contact square enix support, is that even possible by phone?

Not sure about PS4/PS3 users, but on PC I was getting an error about "Failed to download update" and it pointed to ffxivboot.exe"
I was able to fix it, by going into task manager and ending ffxiv.exe and ffxivupdater.exe. They were still running in the background even after I closed the launcher.

just gave it a shot and nothing, thanks for responding though! anyone have a technical phone number for square enix? kind of a joke that their error message tells me to contact them but their technical support website is not exactly contact friendly
