I remember a while back SE was saying that all recipes (not just the most recent 8 or whatever like now) that you've used would be saved for you to view at anytime once they redid the crafting (which seems to be happening in 1.19); however, I haven't seen any word on this since then. Does anyone know for sure?

Haven't heard anything either. I don't remember them saying all recipes would be saved, I just remember them saying the 8 most recent recipes would. It would be nice if we could have a recipe book in game ^^
It's possible that it will come post 1.19. Yoshi's next letter will provide details on what to expect in updates after 1.19, so it may be in there.
