Unless there is some new use for these, gathering HQ ones of these would be detrimental, rather than beneficial. The only current use for these is as part of a hand in, where he wants 99 of them.

Yet, when we hand in stacked items, the entire requested set must be either HQ or NQ. That means that any HQ ones gathered cannot be handed in with the NQ, effectively wasting that swing.

Unless there is some new use for them, I don't see how being able to gather HQ Redolent Logs or HQ Antumbral Ores is anything but a nerf.

It's just like with the crafting tokens for supra. Chances are, you'll have to turn in HQs for the new Lucis tools.

That and possibly the new tokens for hte new gear(iirc they mention some crafter(and I hope gatherer) tokens). Hopefully can finally gear up just by gathering and not the desynth crap.
