Bard Gear & Best Materia

I recently bought a HQ Kirimu Coat, but I'm unsure if I should put Dex IV in its second slot or try getting another Crit IV for that.

However I see many are going the route with the Kirimu Coat to try maxing it on the Crit as much as they can. Would more Crit or Dex IV Materia benefit me more?

Crit IV Materia are going for 400k-500k on my server and the price of Dex IV is 15k-20k.

Cost effective melds: CRIT IV, CRIT IV, CRIT III x 3.
Alternative: CRIT IV, DET IV, CRIT III x 2, DET II

When you consider the fact that a Crit IV costs 50 times as much as a Dex IV on my server, the alternative given is much more cost effective than the meld labeled as such. Would Crit IV, Dex IV, IV, IV, IV be a better choice?

It won't take DEX, HQ is already at the DEX cap.

Seems I got DET and Dexterity confused when reading on the meld limits, but obviously they meant determination. lol. Anyone have any idea how Determination compares to Dexterity in how much attack it gives or that still a complete unknown?

For Bards, DET is their number two Secondary. Crit is actually weighted higher point for point, and stacking Crit gets you approximately 45% more individual points than stacking Det. Win win!

When they lvl sync, do they cap each stat separately for what gear can give at that level? Would adding some possible variety give it better all around use maybe? Currently none of my gear give Piety, so it would be only source if I gave it Piety IV Materia in an extra slot. Anyone have any thoughts on that?

If each stat is maxed for your level during item sync, anyone know up to what level someone can take full advantage of a Materia IV or is the system different completely?

I'm pretty sure materia is disabled when level synced so it won't have any impact at all.

just put crit on it. If you are doing content that is ilvl synced anyways, then it's faceroll and stats are irrelevant. U don't want to ever meld piety either....

I'll never get 5 Materia on it if I'm spending 500k on every low chance gamble. Although if IVs of other stats can be better than putting IIIs of Crit, its an option. I spent 1.3 Million on the HQ Coat, trying to max it with Crit IVs would cost much more than the coat. When odds are less than 15%, there is a higher chance something will meld if I'm willing to fill in other types of Materia on the lower success tries.

For the first 3 Materia, I'll make sure they're all Crit IV. However as the odds get lower I won't be able to afford trying to meld it much if I'm not willing to try anything and only trying the most expensive materia. Do you think it would be better off with only IV materia, but with some variety, rather than lower lvl Crit? Or is Level III Crit better than Materia IV Accuracy/Determination/Skill Speed/Piety? Rosenbogen doesn't have accuracy on it, so some accuracy on it could make up for that.
