I'm curious as to whether or not FFXI has a way to look up characters in a similar way to our main site? I can type in a character name in the search function here and find someones character with ease. I was reminiscing about the old days with a great group of friends I used to have on the fenrir realm and was curious as to whether or not any of them still played.:(
The only way 'officially' was to search linkshells in the Linkshell Community (http://fanzone.playonline.com/lscom/index.do) -- but you can't really search by player name.
The unofficial way is FFXIAH.... this at least records character activity, at least if they use the AH at all. Maybe more info if their profile is available.
In any case, the Fenrir world still exists, so there's that. ;)
It would be nice to meet up with old friends from Siren server, but honestly it's been over two years since I played it so I doubt anyone remembers me. Not to mention I had the name Seiowan instead. Such things are often short-lived when it comes to MMOs given how many people you meet online.
I've met more than a few people who had the exact same name and character race as someone I once knew, but there are so many people with the same or similar names.
