Although I'm not doing the main storyline quest yet (currently leveling up every class to 30), I can have time to think how I need to face the 2nd primal and I'm stuck as to what role my character will need to be in, will it be best to be as just ACN for that battle? Or will I need to be SMN or SCH?

You should probably pick up the job crystal because it gives you a stat boost.
As for which crystal you use .. do you want to dps the fight or heal? Arcanist and summoner are dps. Scholar is healing. As with all the 4 person dungeons you will have 1 tank, 1 healer, and 2 dps .. unless you go in with a full pre-made party.
If you decide you want to heal titan, I would probably go as white mage over scholar (since I see you have both at 34). Granite skin and medica will help a lot but you lose out on the faerie heals. -

also if you go sch i recommend to do lvl 35 job quest first as succor is your aoe heal and also shields party ull just <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 it.
Though as mentioned before choose if you want to dps or heal its all you need to decide. -
01-17-2015, 04:16 AMGarlylePost level 30, you shouldn't be in just your classes anymore - be in your Jobs instead. For every non-ACN, Jobs are pretty much a straight up "upgrade". The only reason ACN is different is that SMN is the upgrade to what ACN currently is, while SCH is a transformation of the class that grants and emphasizes new healing abilities. You can fairly freely swap between them though.Quote:
