FFXIV in 3D
Next week my new plasma-screen will be delivered. The VT30 which is capable of display 3D images.
Ive seen some footage of FFXIV in 3D.
Can anyone tell me how its done since there`s no 3D option in the config-file.
System specs.
Intel I7-950 (clocked @ 3.00)
8 GB memory
Nvidia GTX460 (1GB)

I don't have the 3D stuff installed on my system at the moment so I can't look to be sure, but I -think- that there is way to "force" 3D on for games in the nVidia control panel. I'd check there.

Your video card can run 3D but not in very good setting. If i remember right when you put 3D it run the game x2 so that 60fps+60fps so you may not get good FPS with good setting under that video card.

It's done though you GPU, but yeah I would Imagen your going to need some more power to get that running and looking good in 3d at what 1920x1080?
But you wont know till you try and i could be wrong. So good luck.

Thnx for the quick replies /bow ^^
Yea found it. Its in the Nvidia control panel. FFXIV is 3D Vison Ready.
Cant wait for the plasma-panel to arrive!
I`ll keep you guys posted on my findings.

You need the NVIDIA 3D vision kit for the best result.
I play FFXIV on HX900 TV and it's cool..
But with 3Dvision kit 3D effect is very very better.
On gtx 460 you can have a lot of problem with 3D on

I play the game in 3D Vision with two 460s. Never had GPU specific problems in any game. Having 3D on doesn't really cut FPS in half, I usually notice a 10-20% drop in FPS. But I am running two cards. With a single 460 I can run the game at 1920x1080 with high settings and 3D on at an average of 30FPS.
But you do have to have an Nvidia card and the 3D vision kit to get the kind of experience I think you're looking for. You're display also needs to be supported by Nvidia. Not sure if your TV is.
