The confirmation password wont let me enter anymore than six characters in the field.
whats even more weird is i needed to reset my password due to a connection issue/suspision or whatever even though it was fine last night..
anyone know whats up?

Uhh... that's not a "confirmation password" box. That's for a six-digit code you get from either having a security token or app for your smartphone. If you have neither, leave it blank and hit "Log In" instead.
It sounds like you're trying to enter your password into the field asking for the security token code, which is always a combination of 6 numbers.
As for the second thing, I couldn't tell ya. :/
