These off center lights tho....

Okay so I have made a pretty sweet cafe and conference room in the upstairs rooms in the mansion, but there is one little issue: the lights are off center and throws the entire look off. What I wanna know is why the hell did SE not center the lights with the actual walls they themselves placed (instead of the flooring that reaches beyond to make that overhanging walkway)? It's such a stupid fault in design. I mean look at this:

Everything would come together so much better if the chandeliers were center. I really think SE should fix this, or allow us to move the lights along the ceiling. Because this looks so bad. Maybe I'm being a bit OCD here, but I'm sure I'm not the only one who has stared at their off center light fixture and seethed a little about its placement.

I question many aspects of our housing design and submitted many many ingame suggestions as well lol

They are technically centered, around the room. Since you added a wall for the bar on the left side, your room is no longer asymmetrical. If you look at the ceiling, the light is centered around the room, not around the space you have left. So yes, they should let you move those lights, I'm not sure if there are other type of "non center" lights that could be moved, because it does look pretty bad, and they should not restrict ceiling lights to center of the room only. Should be able to place them anywhere you want

Edit: I just saw you mentioned the wall was already there, meaning the house came with that bar? Because if this is a SE design, fail! But regardless, should still be able to move these lights around all over the place

I could not even begin to agree more with this. I know it's not entirely likely, but I'd ultimately like to see lighting be a bit more customizable (in terms of location in the room) and possibly even removable. It's frustrating to design a space in a small house/private chambers and have to constantly be aware of the light hanging in a super inconvenient location.

As a side note: I absolutely adore what you've done with that bar area! It looks great!

Does it really matter?
The way houses are instances assures that no one is ever in their house anyway.

You're right... Just wish houses in wards were not instances. It sucks.
