"Having completing its epic migratory swim" isn't incorrect.
Another example, "Having completing his test, the student went and laid a clutch of eggs then died."
Just because it is not something that you find to be normal doesn't make it wrong. Yes. Having is past, in the example. Completing is also past, not present, in the example. Completing is a past, present, and future tense word.
I've been searching around, and I've been unable to find any reference to "Completing" being used in any tense other than the present. Everywhere I've looked it's said that the past tense of "Completing" is "Completed".
"Having ~ed" is a common grammatical construct meaning "upon doing something" refers to something in the past, and the word following "having" is a past participle. Words ending in -ing can be present participles or gerunds but not past participles. For reference, this grammatical construction in particular is called "perfect participle". The topic creator is correct in that the sentence in the log as it currently stands is grammatically incorrect.
"Upon completing" would be right, but "Having completing" is not.
Oh dear, how long has that been hiding in plain sight... Well, no longer! We should be able to squeeze this correction in before the data fix. Thanks for the heads up!
Pretty sure that's not the only mistake in the guide

That's more a lore issue I think and not a spelling issue. Gloom existed before the Calamity (as an indicator that Dodore had spawned) but this claims it's a result of it. Granted something might have been changed for all I know in which case just ignore me.
