Story Quests/Missions
When people think "Final Fantasy" the first thing that comes into many people's minds would be 'awesome story' or 'amazing cutscenes'. So why, I wonder, are quests in the main storyline so few and far in between? I admit, the first thing that impressed me was the intro, then the story of my character's arrival in Ul'dah. Those parts gave me a feeling of immersion and made me feel like I was really part of Eorzea.
You guys should really focus on your strong points. I, as a player, probably wouldn't mind grinding levequests or even party grinding on mobs for hours on end as long as I know that the next level (or even 2) would let me see how the story unfolds. In the same vein, maybe have parts of the story have choices that (if the majority of players who went through it made the same decision) could affect the entire world.
