Hey,
I'm trying to get my friend to join the awesomeness that is FFXIV, however when I send him a friend code he can't find where exactly he's supposed to enter this code. Whenever he goes to the Mog Station it looks like this:

I'm a bit at a loss here, I thought a button is supposed to show up where you can enter said code. Did he do anything wrong or does it take a while to update? If anyone could help us out that'd be great :D!

Only thing that looks suspicous is that he has no characters?
Maybe create a character and try again?
I think it's only available once your friend buys the game, not during the free trial. He should be able to enter the code any time after purchase of the game and before his first subscription payment (typically 30 days later if paid when the time that comes with purchase runs out).
(This is hearsay, not personal experience. I haven't used either the free trial or Recruit a Friend code myself.)
