Noob on PS4, lost my log/chat box

Sorry for such a newbie question. I'm not only new to FF, but I'm also new to playing on the PS4. I'm just starting to get the hang of adjusting settings and moving around in-game (I've played lots of MMOs before, just never on a console!) and all of a sudden I've lost my log/chat window. It has disappeared completely. What have I done? How or where in the PS4 version setup do I go to fix this?

Thanks in advance for your help. I've only played for four days and I am really loving this game and looking forward to learning more about the FF lore that I've missed over the years.

lol this happened to me once and I was like "oh noes! What I have done?" yeah if your cursor is on your chat Box and you press square it brings up a sub menu with just close or hide chat box and if you select it, it will hide your chat box, if you got a KB pluged just hit enter and your chat box should come back.
