New player guide to unlocking dungeons, primals, raids etc at Lv.50 with helpful info

• Rock the Castrum unlocks/requires you to complete Castrum Meridianum.
• The Ultimate Weapon unlocks/requires you to defeat Ultima Weapon in The Praetorium.

Completing The Ultimate Weapon, which is the final 2.0 Main Scenario quest gives you your Magitek Armor Mount and unlocks the following upon completion of the quest:

• The Weaponsmith of Legend unlocks the Relic Reborn quests. Fun questline, easy nowadays since it was tailored for fresh lv50 players, and rewarding you with an iLv80 weapon ^^ (iLv required for Hydra & Chimera trials: 52)
• Magiteknical Difficulties unlocks Magitek Cannon and Photon Stream on the Pet hotbar while riding your Magitek Armor Mount. Those deal no damage but are fun to use ;D
• Of Errant Epistles unlocks The Postmoogle Always Rings Twice Achievement & Deputy Postmoogle delivery quests (which unlock "The Postman" titles)
  
• Ghosts of Amdapor unlocks/requires you to complete Amdapor Keep. Requires no iLv. Drops iLv 55 gear (same as Wanderer's Palace).
• Maniac Manor unlocks/requires you to complete Haukke Manor (Hard). Requires iLv 48. Drops iLv 60 gear.
• Out of Sight, Out of Mine unlocks/requires you to complete Copperbell Mines (Hard). Requires iLv 48. Drops iLv 60 gear.
• Sirius Business unlocks/requires you to complete Pharos Sirius. Requires iLv 48. Drops iLv 60 gear.
• One Night in Amdapor unlocks/requires you to run The Lost City of Amdapor. Requires iLv 55. Drops iLv 70 gear.
• Curds and Slay unlocks/requires you to complete Brayflox's Longstop (Hard). Requires iLv 55. Drops iLv 70 gear.
• This Time's for Fun unlocks/requires you to complete Halatali (Hard). Requires iLv 55. Drops iLv 70 gear.
• The Ultimate Ballad, which is given by Yoshi-P's avatar, unlocks/requires you to defeat Ultima Weapon (Hard) in The Minstrel's Ballad: Ultima's Bane. Requires iLv 61. Drops iLV 80 Neck & Rings.
• King of the Hull unlocks/requires you to complete Hullbreaker Isle. Requires iLv 70. Drops iLv 80 gear.
• Blood for Stone unlocks/requires you to complete The Stone Vigil (Hard). Requires iLv 70. Drops iLv 80 gear.
• Corpse Groom unlocks/requires you to complete The Tam-Tara Deepcroft (Hard). Requires iLv 70. Drops iLv 80 gear.
• It's Definitely Pirates unlocks/requires you to complete Sastasha (Hard) (Dungeon required to unlock Expert Duty Roulette) Requires iLv 80. Drops iLv 90 gear.
• The Wrath of Qarn unlocks/requires you to run The Sunken Temple of Qarn (Hard) (dungeon required to unlock Expert Duty Roulette) Requires iLv 80. Drops iLv 90 gear.
  
• Legacy of Allag requires you to complete 4 FATEs and starts the Labyrinth of the Ancients questline that later unlocks Syrcus Tower. More on that in a later edit
• The Rise and Fall of Gentlemen starts the Side Story Hildibrand Quests (which unlock the Manderville dance and later 2 Trials: Gilgamesh and Typhoon & Ultros) More on that in a later edit
• A Recurring Problem which is the start of Chronicles of a New Era ⇒ Primal Quests See below.

Chronicles of a New Era ⇒ Primal Quests

• Ifrit Bleeds, We Can Kill It unlocks Ifrit (Hard) in The Bowl of Embers (Hard). Requires iLv 49. Drops iLv 60 weapons.
• In for Garuda Awakening unlocks Garuda (Hard) in The Howling Eye (Hard). Requires iLv 52. Drops iLv 70 weapons.
• In a Titan Spot unlocks Titan (Hard) in The Navel (Hard). Requires iLv 57. Drops iLv 80 weapons. Upon completion of this quest unlocks Primal Awakening quest which unlocks The Binding Coil of Bahamut - Turn 1 (T1/2/4/5 requires iLv 70-73-77-82 & drops iLv 90 gear)
• Primal Nature
• Galeforce Warning unlocks/requires you to defeat Garuda (Extreme) in The Howling Eye (Extreme). Requires iLv 65. Drops iLv 90 rings. Also has a low % chance of dropping Nightmare mount.
• Quake Me Up Before You O'Ghomoro unlocks/requires you to defeat Titan (Extreme) in The Navel (Extreme). Requires iLv 67. Drops iLv 90 earrings. Also has a low % chance of dropping Nightmare mount. Despite the low iLv requirement, people still fail at this one fairly often. Not newbie friendly I heard :D
• Ifrit Ain't Broke unlocks/requires you to defeat Ifrit (Extreme) in The Bowl of Embers (Extreme). Requires iLv 70. Drops iLv 90 wrists. Also has a low % chance of dropping Nightmare & Aithon mounts.
• To Tussle with Gods
• Primal Focus requires you to deliver a vortex ritual focus obtained in The Howling Eye (Extreme), a crag ritual focus in The Navel (Extreme) & an inferno ritual focus in The Bowl of Embers (Extreme) to Laraina at Revenant's Toll. (Doesn't unlock anything)

2.1 Patch Main Scenario quest line

• The Price of Principles available from Minfilia in Western Thanalan in The Waking Sands inn.
• Moving On

• All Things in Time
• The Resolute
• Laying the Foundation unlocks the following three quests, which must be completed, in no particular order, to proceed:

• Hest of the Best unlocks/requires you to complete the Lv.15 Hero on the Halfshell Hest
• Pass the Small Hest unlocks/requires you to complete the Lv.30 More than a Feeler Hest

• The Things We Do for Tea
• It's Possibly a Primal
• Hail to the King, Kupo
• You Have Selected Regicide unlocks/requires you to defeat Good King Moggle Mog XII (Hard) in Thornmarch (Hard) Requires iLv 54. Drops iLv 75 weapons.
• The King Lives quest which unlocks/requires you to defeat Great King Moggle Mog XII (Extreme) in Thornmarch (Extreme). Not sure if you can take it right away or need to some primal fights or something else in between. Requires iLv 80. Drops iLv 100 necks.

• In Flagrante Delicto
• A Simple Plan
• The Instruments of Our Deliverance unlocks/requires you to defeat Shiva (Hard) in Akh Afah Amphitheatre (Hard). Requires iLv 80. Doesn't drop anything.
• The Road Less Traveled
• Eyes Unclouded
• The Reason Roaille
• Let Us Cling Together unlocks Dreams of Ice Achievement & Icebreaker title.
• Drop Dead Shiva unlocks/requires you to defeat Shiva (Extreme) in Akh Afah Amphitheatre (Extreme). Requires iLv 95. Drops iLv 110 weapons, 120 wrists & Ice Dust item which you need 5 units of to upgrade those weapons to iLv 115. Also has a low % chance of dropping Boreas mount. This is the final 2.4 Patch Main Scenario quest. YOU NEED TO HAVE DEFEATED RAMUH (EXTREME) AT LEAST ONCE to be able to take the quest!!!

Wow, thanks for your hard work, it must have taken you ages to do all this.

As someone who did all the quests as they came out, it never occurred to me that there was so much to do when you got to 50 these days.

When it first came out King Moogle extreme and Leviathan extreme required you to complete the extreme versions of Grauda, Titan and Ifrit, but because of the difficulty of Titan extreme this requirement was removed. Typically this was done just after I finally killed Titan extreme.

I still feel the most important quest to do when you get to 50 is The Weaponsmith of Legend. Getting your relic weapon for your class is the best upgrade for you at that point, it's a fun quest, will take you through the easier level 50 dungeons and Ifrit, Grauda and Titan hard modes and unlock Chimera and Hydra, both required for the trials roulette.

Gosh yes it took me 3 hours (and 20,000 characters) to type and format this T_T

Well, let's hope it will help some people. I'll format this more in the near future to add iLv required and iLv of dropped gear somewhere in the main part of the guide. For those who can't see the miscellaneous links down there xD

I made this guide primarily for newbies but also for me when I was confused about the whole Extreme primals unlocking, which is a mess to figure out, since you only need half of those to unlock the ones everyone farms (Ramuh, Shiva)

But yeah, I spent a week doing all those quests and dungeons (except Extreme primals since I heard so much drama about those) once I dinged 50 lol

I didn't know they removed the unlocking requirements for some EX primals. Makes sence now.

I agree with the relic quest; I did that first. Fun and worth doing.
